Everything was very good at this great budget hotel. The location was peaceful and pleasant, just a short walk away from Penlee House Gallery and Museum. Loved to hang out in the centre, it's within easy walking distance of the venue.

Excellent food, brilliant hotel, wonderful location very close to everything. Nothing to complain about considering good rates. Super friendly and fairly friendly staff and altogether a very nice experience. A decent size rooms with private bathroom and great service.

Excellent & helpful staff, tidy and comfortable room and good value for money, also very convenient for the railway station and the town centre.
Food - the breakfasts were good, but the one evening meal we had there was not. A fish pie that was supposed to have prawns in it did not, but had egg substituted instead! Also, incorrect breakfast serving times were displayed in the room.

great location but limited dining options
The clever design of my single room maximized the small space effectively. I also appreciated the cheerful breakfast service with generous portions that set a positive tone for the day.
Even though the location was ideal, I was disappointed with the limited dining options available after a long day.

The Longboat is a very friendly and welcoming place to stay have stayed there on previous occasions, especially liked the mount bedroom with the four poster bed. it is a quiet and comfortable stay that is in the best location in penzance. Will definately be staying again. Also love the new look to the place, cant wait to return in june to see the finished product. The staff are very professional and vey very welcoming. It was the first time my partner had ever been to cornwall and thought i exaggerated how warm us cornish really are and how cornwall is so relaxing made all the better by the staff at the longboat, keep up the good work xxx

We travel to penzance by train and it was so close, we could hardly believe it, and also it was right on the main street. The staff were very helpful and very accomodating of our needs. We only stayed two nights but it made a great mid-week break.

Directly across from the train station, which made catching an early morning train easy.

After a 'lengthy' train journey the welcome we received a 'homely' welcome from Chris. Ryan, the manager, and his team could not have been more friendly during our stay. The Longboat itself typifies the Cornish type Inn we were looking for. It is immediately opposite the station but you would not know this until you go outside. They have their own cinema showing different films each night. The meals were beautiful and as we walking the Cornish Coastal Path in stages their 'Full Cornish Breakfast' can be recommended. The bus station is the other side of the station and places like St Ives and Lands Ends are very short bus journeys away.
Too many beers to choose from !! :)

Functional hotel above a pub. Clean rooms, good price for our travelling group (we took 4 rooms). The morning breakfast waiter had never made porridge before (?) but everything was dealt with well.

Arriving late means you might miss out on dinner due to early service cutoffs. The lack of on-site parking requires a short walk to drop off your vehicle. The absence of shower gel on multiple nights and overall housekeeping attention might leave guests wanting more.
